FRC signs the Women in Finance Charter

10 November 2017
Commenting on the FRC signing the Women in Finance Charter, Stephen Haddrill, CEO, FRC, said,

"The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is delighted to have signed the Women in Finance Charter. The FRC is proud of its record on diversity and believes it makes the organisation a great place to work. The FRC has a majority of women in senior executive positions. The more organisations that sign up the Charter the better it is for the economy and society.
The FRC is a member of the BEIS Diversity and Inclusion Group and has formed an internal Diversity and Inclusion Group that implements best practice across all job levels.
The UK Corporate Governance Code encourages board diversity and reporting. A diverse workforce contributes to more integrity in business and the long-term success of a company which in turn leads to sustainable growth in the UK economy.  As part of our review of the Code we will be consulting on strengthening the diversity principles and provisions."
