The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) announces that the Formal Complaint against Stephen Chamberlain, former Vice President of Finance of Autonomy Corporation plc, has been stayed pending the outcome of criminal charges, which include 15 counts of fraud, that he faces trial for in the United States.

Mr Chamberlain has consented to an order suspending him from membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) until the Formal Complaint against him can be heard.  The Order for Stay, Interim Order of Suspension, both dated 4 April 2019, and the Report of the Tribunal in relation to the Interim Order dated 3 April 2019, have been published.

The Formal Complaint against Deloitte LLP, Richard Knights and Nigel Mercer in relation to Autonomy Corporation plc, announced on 31 May 2018, is unaffected by the stay and Interim Order involving Mr Chamberlain.

The Formal Complaint against Sushovan Hussain, former CFO of Autonomy Corporation plc, was stayed on 2 November 2018 and he was suspended as a member of the ICAEW on the same date.
