With the imminent publication of the Government’s White Paper on Governance and Audit Reform, Michael Izza and Sir Jon will be discussing progress on governance and audit reform. After three major reviews, they will discuss pre-legislative progress and review recommendations which will require statutory underpinning. Sir Jon will also reflect on the ongoing transformation of the FRC into the new Audit, Reporting and Governance Authority. The White Paper is designed to promote improvement in audit quality and to support effective and proportionate business regulation.
