FRC makes Council appointments

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has announced appointments of the Chair of the Corporate Reporting Council and of a member to the Audit & Assurance Council.
Liz Murrall has been appointed Chair of the Corporate Reporting Council with effect from 5 July 2019:
Liz Murrall is Director Stewardship and Reporting at the Investment Association, the trade body representing the UK investment management industry where she is responsible for developing and representing the Association’s position on policy issues affecting asset managers as institutional investors in companies, including the obligations of companies and the rights of investors.
Andrew Kail has joined the Audit & Assurance Council with effect from 1 June 2019:
Andrew Kail is Head of Financial Services and senior audit partner at PwC, with oversight for the Firm’s activities across Asset & Wealth Management, Banking, Insurance and Real Estate. He has acted as audit partner for a number of FTSE groups. In addition, he has worked extensively across financial services providing advice on strategy, financial controls, regulation and corporate transactions.
