The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) invites stakeholders to take part in a series of roundtables which form part of its consultation on proposed revisions to the Audit Enforcement Procedure (AEP).
The consultation is part of the FRC’s comprehensive end-to-end enforcement review of its enforcement procedures. As set out in the consultation document, the FRC is proposing to expand its toolkit when addressing potential breaches of auditing and ethical standards to allow for more proportionate outcomes while maintaining the robustness of its investigation and enforcement regime.
The roundtables are an opportunity for stakeholders to find out more about the proposed revisions to the AEP set out in the consultation document and share their views. The FRC is keen to hear feedback and comments from across the stakeholder environment, including audit firms, professional bodies, law firms and users of audited financial statements.
Roundtables will take place on Microsoft Teams or in-person at the FRC's offices, and stakeholders should complete the online form to register an expression of interest to attend a roundtable.
