Notice under Regulation 23(a) of the Accountancy Regulations
The Disciplinary Tribunal of the Financial Reporting Council will resume its consideration of the Formal Complaint of the Executive Counsel to the Financial Reporting Council (“FRC”) under the Accountancy Scheme against the Respondent Nicholas Bowerman, a Member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) on Thursday 24 July 2025, commencing at 10.00.
The hearing will take place at the International Dispute Resolution Centre at 1 Paternoster Avenue, London EC4M 7BQ.
The Formal Complaint alleges that the Respondent:
- Failed to co-operate fully with Executive Counsel by failing to respond to a number of attempts by Executive Counsel to make contact with him for the purposes of an investigation into his conduct, in contravention of paragraph 14(1) of the Accountancy Scheme.
- Failed to comply fully with a notice issued by Executive Counsel requiring him to provide times when he could attend an interview in order to give his account of the matters under investigation, in contravention of paragraphs 14(1) and 14(2) of the Scheme.
An independent Disciplinary Tribunal will hear and determine the Formal Complaint.
The hearing will be open to the public. Limitations of space may lead to restrictions on numbers attending in person.
