Audit and the role of auditors have faced unprecedented challenge this year, with a series of high profile enforcement cases, calls for a further review by the Competition and Markets Authority on competition and choice; and questions over the independence of auditors and the quality and consistency of some audit work.
The FRC will publish its Developments in Audit report on Monday 15 October, in which it will set out its strategy for driving enhanced audit quality and the responsiveness of audit to users’ needs.
Join us at this event on Thursday 18 October to hear from the FRC about its new strategy and question a panel on users’ expectations of audit.
Please note this event will be filmed.
