CCG at London Business School & FRC Event: Developing Corporate Governance Principles for Large Private Companies - The Case for a Code?
11 Jun 2018 5:00pm
Location: London Business School, Regent's Park, London NW1 4SA
This is an expert discussion event, by invitation only.
Large private companies play a significant role in UK business and society. Responsible businesses acknowledge the role they play, and engage meaningfully with a broad range of stakeholders, including the community they operate in.
In 2017 the Government announced its intention to introduce a new corporate governance reporting requirement for large private companies. To complement this, the Government appointed James Wates CBE to lead a coalition, including the Financial Reporting Council, to develop corporate governance principles to enhance transparency and accountability in large private companies.
This small, invitation-only, event will include introductory comments from James Wates, sharing his vision for the principles, followed by a panel discussion including academics and expert practitioners led by academics and expert practitioners, debating the issues with a range of experts in the audience.
