The Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council, Sir Christopher Hogg, has today announced the appointment of Peter Montagnon as Senior Investment Advisor to the Financial Reporting Council. He will join the FRC in early June.
Sir Christopher said:
“I am very pleased to welcome Peter, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise on investor, insurance and related issues. He will significantly enhance the FRC’s capabilities across all the areas of its work important to investors, in particular providing valuable perspective and input into the development of the UK Corporate Governance Code and the new stewardship code for UK investors.”
Peter joins the FRC from the Association of British Insurers, where he was Director of Investment Affairs. Prior to joining the ABI in 2000, Peter worked at the Financial Times, where his assignments included a spell as Head of Lex. He is a member of the European Corporate Governance Forum, a past Chairman of the International Corporate Governance Network and a visiting professor at the Cass Business School.
