Ann Darling O.B.E. J.P. D.L. Ann Darling served as a magistrate for 40 years. She chaired the South Tyneside Bench and the Northumbria Courts Committee. Ann was a member of the Board of Phoenix Futures (a drug rehabilitation charity) for over 20 years and was Vice-Chair for the last five years of that time. She was a member of the Board of the Immigration Advisory Service for 4 years and a member of the Parole Board of England and Wales for 7 years. Ann chaired the ACCA Disciplinary Committee for 10 years and then became a member of the Appointments Committee, jointly responsible with three colleagues for assessment of Panel Members. In 2001/2002 Ann was the High Sheriff for Tyne and Wear. |
